Welcome Home
After a seemingly endless pregnancy and hours upon hours of labor, your eagerly awaited baby has finally arrived. Now that you're back at home with this new bundle of joy, you're enduring endless days and sleepless nights filled with countless diaper changes, feedings, and floor pacing. Most likely, the last thing you want to think about is sending out birth announcements.
After giving birth to my baby girl, the thought of finding, creating, and mailing out birth announcements seemed like an impossible challenge; I simply couldn't face the daunting task. In the end, I shot off a short email with my baby's stats and a few photos to my family and friends. Of course, I now regret that I don't have a precious pink birth announcement to include in my daughter's baby book. (I guess it's a little too late to send one now, seeing as she's almost a two-year-old.)
So, how do you go about choosing and sending a unique birth announcement when you've already got your hands full with poopy diapers, breast pumps, and a wailing, needy baby? Here are a few tips to help you survive the process and create a truly memorable birth announcement.
